Opened by Latine co-owners Maritza Galvez and Joseph Fleming, Asteroid Vinyl Cafe was the first new record store to open in Inglewood in roughly 35 years. It sits on South La Brea a short walk from SoFi and the Hollywood Park Casino.
Crates run from punk and R&B to jazz and cumbia, including original pressings, alongside signature lattes, pastries and local art on the walls. It hosts Record Store Day sales and community events and has become an affordable third place in a fast-changing neighborhood.
