Hilltop opened its Inglewood flagship in 2019 on La Brea, just before the Market Street strip. Founded by Yonnie Hagos and Ajay Relan, with actress Issa Rae as a partner, the Black-owned chain built its name on hiring locally and giving South LA a real coffee hub.
The two-story room is where people work, meet and linger over lattes, breakfast burritos and salads, with plenty of vegan options. It gets busy on weekend mornings; the kitchen closes before the coffee bar does.
