The Best Tacos to Try in Inglewood

Coni'Seafood

Calling anything “the best tacos in Inglewood” comes with a responsibility: do not turn a city’s Mexican food into a random list assembled from star ratings.

This guide starts instead with places receiving serious local food coverage, each offering a different reason to go.

For the biggest statement, start at Perro Exquisite Taco. Current Los Angeles Times coverage describes its Inglewood walk-up counter near SoFi Stadium as the home of a one-pound Sonora-style taco inspired by Rosarito’s taco perrón. The signature version combines grilled sirloin flap steak, Peruvian beans, guacamole, onions and salsa inside a cheese-griddled flour tortilla. This is not the delicate two-bite street taco category. Come hungry.

For seafood, Coni’Seafood changes the conversation. Its flagship Inglewood location is known for Nayarit-style seafood, and the taco choices called out by current coverage include shrimp tacos al gobernador and smoked-marlin tacos. This is the pick when “tacos” means grilled seafood, smoke, cheese and the Pacific coast rather than carne asada.

Carnitas El Artista has also earned major local attention for third-generation cook Gustavo Chavez’s Michoacán-style carnitas; Eater chronicled the operation’s tacos and platters, and the Los Angeles Times included it in its June 2026 Inglewood-area guide. Because the restaurant’s social presence showed pop-up activity later in 2026, confirm its current service location before publication or a visit.

Then there is the broader Mexican-food layer. Tortuga Bay is better known for its Guadalajara-style torta ahogada than for being a taco specialist, but it belongs in the same conversation for visitors who care more about an excellent regional Mexican meal than checking a “taco” box. Martin’s Cocina y Cantina offers another option in downtown Inglewood for a sit-down meal, drinks and a game-night atmosphere.

The most useful way to choose is by occasion. Headed to SoFi and want something close to the entertainment district? Start with Perro. Looking for a destination seafood meal? Coni’Seafood. Want carnitas? Check where Carnitas El Artista is currently serving before making the drive. Want to spend more time downtown? Pair a meal with our Market Street guide.

Concert visitors can also combine this page with the venue-specific guides. See where to eat near SoFi Stadium, where to eat near Intuit Dome or where to eat near Kia Forum before deciding which part of town makes the most sense.

And this list should stay alive. Taco businesses move, pop-ups become storefronts, hours change and new cooks earn attention. Be Inglewood should re-report this guide at least twice a year, using original photography and firsthand visits whenever possible.

“The best” should not mean pretending the list is finished. It should mean giving people a thoughtful place to start.
