There is no good reason to come to SoFi Stadium hungry and leave without seeing anything else in Inglewood.
The stadium at 1001 S. Stadium Drive brings enormous crowds for Rams and Chargers football, concerts and major international events. Its current concert slate includes Usher Raymond and Chris Brown, Bruno Mars and JAY-Z; Super Bowl LXI arrives February 14, 2027; and the building becomes a central LA28 venue in 2028. That makes the surrounding food search one of Be Inglewood’s most important evergreen pages.
For a first meal in the city, Dulan’s Soul Food Kitchen is an easy place to understand. The late Adolf Dulan opened the Inglewood restaurant in 2001, and current local coverage points visitors toward fried chicken, oxtails, baked fish, macaroni and cheese, greens and other soul-food staples. The Serving Spoon goes back even farther, to 1983, and its 2026 James Beard America’s Classics recognition turned a longtime neighborhood breakfast institution into an even bigger destination.
The city’s food story is much broader than one cuisine. Banadir Somali Restaurant is known for goat, rice and basbaas. Little Belize showcases Belizean cooking. Two Hommés connects West African flavors with Southern California. Blessed Tropical Jamaican Cuisine sits directly in the stadium orbit with curry, jerk, oxtail and patties.
YOU CAME TO SOFI. YOU'RE IN INGLEWOOD.
Take the city's name with you.
For tacos, Perro Exquisite Taco is one of the most event-friendly options: current Los Angeles Times coverage describes its walk-up Inglewood counter as just across from SoFi and highlights its enormous Sonora-style taco built with steak, beans, guacamole, onions and salsa. Coni’Seafood offers a very different taco route through Nayarit-style seafood, including shrimp gobernador and smoked-marlin tacos. See the full Be Inglewood taco guide.
For burgers, Brolly Hut brings the old-school visual appeal: an umbrella-shaped roadside stand, char-grilled burgers and the kind of architecture that belongs to Southern California’s automobile era. Fosters Freeze adds another historical angle—the first Fosters Freeze opened in Inglewood in 1946. StormBurger supplies a newer local option. See our burger guide.
And for barbecue, Inglewood has something more meaningful than a generic “best nearby” list. Woody’s and Phillips are connected to one of Los Angeles’ longstanding barbecue families. Woody’s Inglewood branch dates to 1995; Phillips’ remaining Inglewood shop carries a related old-school tradition centered on ribs, small ends and sauce. Read our BBQ guide before deciding.
The practical advice is to leave extra time. SoFi encourages visitors to purchase parking ahead and arrive early, and venue policies can change by event. Check restaurant hours the day you attend, especially on major stadium dates.
And remember the larger point. A stadium can bring you to Inglewood. Food gives you a reason to know where you actually landed. For the rest of the city, open the Be Inglewood visitor guide.
