In 2028, Inglewood will not be next to the Olympics.
It will be one of the places where the Olympics happen.
LA28’s current venue plan identifies an Inglewood Zone that includes Intuit Dome and “2028 Stadium,” the Games name used for SoFi Stadium. The official Olympic dates are July 14–30, 2028, followed by the Paralympic Games August 15–27.
The sports split is clear. Intuit Dome will host Olympic basketball. SoFi Stadium will be transformed for Olympic swimming and will also play a major role in the Opening Ceremony.
The competition schedule makes the Inglewood role even bigger than those dates initially suggest. Olympic basketball sessions at Intuit Dome currently begin July 12, two days before the Opening Ceremony, and continue through the medal games at the end of the Olympics. The schedule is subject to change. Swimming at the 2028 Stadium is currently scheduled for the later part of the Games, including sessions from July 22 through July 30.
That means Inglewood needs its own visitor ecosystem long before July 2028.

Food should be the first evergreen layer. Create and continuously update food near Intuit Dome and food near SoFi Stadium. By 2028, those pages should contain original photographs, verified hours, reservation guidance, accessibility notes and “best for” recommendations rather than being simple restaurant lists.
History should be the second layer. The 1932 Olympic marathon passed through Inglewood according to the city’s own historical account. That gives Be Inglewood a powerful future feature: “Inglewood and the Olympics: 1932 to 2028.”
The third layer is neighborhood identity. Visitors should find Market Street, Randy’s, Centinela Adobe, local soul food, barbecue and the city’s global cuisines through the same hub they use to understand the Olympic venue map.
Separate pages should handle the three largest search intents: Olympic basketball at Intuit Dome, Olympic swimming at SoFi and the 2028 Opening Ceremony in Inglewood.
The LA28 hub should remain evergreen. Update dates, transportation and ticketing as LA28 releases them rather than creating “2027 guide,” “2028 guide,” and other competing URLs.
By summer 2028, thousands of websites will be writing about Los Angeles.
