SoFi Stadium is enormous. Your plan for visiting it should not be.
Start with the basics: SoFi Stadium is at 1001 S. Stadium Drive in Inglewood and is home to both the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers. It also functions as one of Southern California’s primary stadium-concert venues. In the next two years it adds two events with global reach: Super Bowl LXI in 2027 and multiple roles during LA28 in 2028.
For driving, the venue’s current guidance is to buy parking in advance and arrive early. Event-specific transportation plans can change, especially for NFL games, concerts and major championships, so use SoFi’s official event page on the day of your visit rather than relying on an old screenshot.
Food should be decided just as early. The surrounding city has enough variety to make “eat somewhere nearby” a real choice rather than an emergency search. Dulan’s offers Inglewood soul food; The Serving Spoon handles breakfast and lunch; Banadir Somali Restaurant, Little Belize, Blessed Tropical Jamaican Cuisine and Two Hommés broaden the field considerably. Our full SoFi restaurant guide breaks those options down by occasion.
THE STADIUM SAYS LOS ANGELES. THE ADDRESS SAYS INGLEWOOD.
Wear the city.
If you have an hour before the event, think beyond dinner. Randy’s Donuts at Manchester and La Cienega offers one of the city’s classic photo stops beneath its giant rooftop doughnut. Market Street gives you a different view of Inglewood, tied to the city’s older downtown fabric rather than the entertainment district.
The stadium also makes sense only in relation to what came before it. Hollywood Park was already part of Inglewood’s sports identity, and the Forum had been hosting basketball, hockey and concerts for decades before SoFi opened. The Forum’s first event was in 1967; today it sits within sight of a generation of buildings that arrived more than half a century later. Read Inglewood Before SoFi for that longer timeline.
Then there is what comes next. Super Bowl LXI is officially scheduled for February 14, 2027 at SoFi Stadium. Our Super Bowl 2027 Inglewood guide treats the game as a citywide visitor opportunity rather than just a football date.
For the 2028 Olympics, LA28 identifies the stadium as part of its Inglewood Zone and currently uses “2028 Stadium” in Games materials. The venue is planned for the Opening Ceremony and Olympic swimming, with swimming competition currently scheduled for late July.
The best SoFi trip therefore changes depending on your ticket, but the central advice does not: arrive early, check official transportation information, eat somewhere local, and give yourself enough time to see at least one part of Inglewood that is not inside the stadium gates.
